W&L's Washnock at Day One of NCAA Championships
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Washington and Lee sophomore swimmer Chris
Washnock (Greer, S.C./Greenville) competed on day one of the NCAA
Division III National Championships at the University of
Minnesota-Twin Cities on Wednesday.
Washnock recorded a time of 1:56.94 and finished 38th in the
preliminary round of the 200 IM event. His time, however,
will not qualify him for the finals that will be held on Wednesday
evening.
Washnock will swim in two more events during the championships,
taking part in the 400 IM on Thursday and the 200 back on Saturday.
Prelims are slated to begin at 11:00 am both days.
