W&L Men's Swimming Sends Washnock to NCAA Championships

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Sophomore Chris Washnock (Greer, S.C./Greenville) will represent the Washington and Lee men’s swim team as he makes the trip to the NCAA Division III National Championships, which begin on Wednesday.

Washnock qualified as the No. 11 seed in the 200 back with a time of 1:50.13 and the No. 15 seed in the 400 IM with a time of 4:02.66. Washnock will also swim the 200 IM at the meet.

The NCAA Division III Championships are being held at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and will run from March 17-20.
