W&L Men's Soccer Falls to Roanoke College, 4-0

SALEM, Va. – Roanoke College sophomore forward Cameron Travalini recorded two goals as the Maroons claimed a 4-0 victory over the Washington and Lee men's soccer team on Wednesday evening at Kerr Stadium.

The Maroons (7-2, 2-0 ODAC) got on the board in the 13th minute when Travalini directed a corner kick from senior defender Matt Standley past W&L (1-2-2, 1-1 ODAC) junior keeper Alex Lambert (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Chaminade). Travalini added his second goal of the contest in the 60th minute, and Roanoke received two more tallies in the final five minutes for the four-goal victory.

Lambert played all 90:00 for the Generals, recording three saves. Roanoke sophomore netminder Ryan Russell also played the duration, stopping three shots.

The Generals return to action on Saturday as they host Virginia Wesleyan at Watt Field for a 3:00 pm contest.
