BUENA VISTA, Va. – The Washington and Lee
men’s soccer team defeated Southern Virginia University 2-0
on Wednesday evening in Buena Vista, Va.
Generals (2-1) first-year Dylan Norvell (Richmond, Va./Henrico)
opened the scoring in the first half off an assist from first-year
midfielder John Stalle (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown). Junior
midfielder James Pymm (Smithtown, N.Y./St. Anthony’s) would
add an unassisted goal later in the half to secure the win.
Junior Ben Bartlett (Towson, Md./McDonogh) and sophomore Ben
Petitto (Gainesville, Fla./St. Francis Catholic) split time in net,
each recording one save.
The Generals return to action on Saturday as they travel to
Shenandoah with a 2:00 pm kickoff.
