
One of the hardest things in sports is to repeat. The Washington and Lee lacrosse program went five years without an ODAC title before last seasons crescendo to the top of the conference. Despite graduating an outstanding senior class that helped bring the program back to prominence, Head Coach Gene McCabe believes that the Generals are ready to face the challenge of defending their title.

Washington and Lee senior midfielder Harry St. John (Essex Fells, N.J./West Essex) scored unassisted just 38 seconds into overtime to lift the 10th-ranked and third-seeded Generals to a 15-14 overtime victory over top-ranked and No. 1 seed Roanoke College in the finals of the ODAC men's lacrosse championship on Sunday afternoon at Kerr Stadium.
