LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee lacrosse is joining the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Coaches Association (USILA) and lacrosse programs across the country in supporting the HEADstrong Foundation by appointing its game against Hampden-Sydney on Friday, March 30 as a HEADstrong Awareness game.
W&L Head Coach Gene McCabe currently serves as the USILA President and the Generals' game against the Tigers will officially kick off the USILA's HEADstrong month.
"It is an honor to support the HEADstrong Foundation this week and with our game against Hampden Sydney," said McCabe. "April is USILA/HEADstrong month and teams all over the country will dedicate games to raise awareness and funds to support this great organization. The services and support HEADstrong provides families battling cancer is invaluable. We are excited to kick off this important month for HEADstrong and proud to support such an amazing organization."
