PERRY, N.Y. – Fresh off two Top 10 road wins last week, the Washington and Lee men’s lacrosse team has moved up to No. 9 in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III poll, which was released on Monday.
The Generals were receiving votes in the initial poll, but moved into the Top 10 for the first time since peaking at No. 8 midway through the 2010 season.
W&L opened last week with a 7-6 double-overtime win at previously top-ranked Salisbury. The Generals then posted another road win on Sunday, defeating 10th-ranked Denison by a score of 8-7.
Washington and Lee will face a third-straight ranked opponent this week as it travels to 13th-ranked Washington College for a 1:00 pm contest.
