PERRY, N.Y. – Two members of the Washington and Lee men's lacrosse team have been selected to participate in the 72nd Annual USILA/LaxWorld North-South Senior All-Star game which will be held on Friday, May 24 at 3:00 pm on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa.
Senior midfielder Cooper Brown (Baltimore, Md./Gilman) and senior defenseman Andrew Fusselbaugh (Ardmore, Pa./Friends Central) are among the 32 individuals and seven ODAC players selected to participate for the south squad.
Brown received the honor after playing in 20 contests for the Generals this spring, tallying 60 ground balls and notching a career-best 32 points on 16 goals and 16 assists. He completed his career with 29 goals and 35 assists, and he collected 157 career ground balls.
Fusselbaugh was a First Team All-ODAC honoree this spring. He started all 21 games and finished second in the conference with 41 caused turnovers. His 63 ground balls were also the second-most on the team.
With Brown and Fusselbaugh's selections to the 2013 North-South game, W&L has now had 110 players chosen to participate in the game since 1942. The duo are joined on this year's team by Richard Lachlan and Connor DuBois of Roanoke, Vin Curran and Max Voumard of Lynchburg, and Jess Hawthorne of Hampden-Sydney.
Washington and Lee completed the 2013 season with a school-record 16 wins against just five losses. The Generals received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament and fell to Salisbury in the second round by a score of 7-4.
