However, the Generals responded just 1:22 later as first-year attackman Mac Means (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) scored unassisted at the 11:15 mark.

W&L (3-0) took a 2-1 lead on a goal by senior midfielder Kevin Feeney (Summit, N.J./Summit) at the 10:36 mark of the first period and tacked on four more goals before the end of the period, including an unassisted tally by senior attackman Will Keigler (Timonium, Md./Gilman) with just six seconds remaining.

The Tigers scored a pair of second quarter goals, one by junior midfielder Mitch Cohagan (Pickerington, Ohio/North) and another by Winders, to make it a 6-3 game at the break.

Means, Keigler and Feeney all found the back of the net in the third period for a 9-3 Generals lead and each team scored once in the fourth period to produce the final margin.

Keigler and Means paced W&L with two goals and one assist each, while Feeney posted two goals and won 7-of-9 faceoffs. First-year Joe LaSala (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) spearheaded the W&L defense with three caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls.
