HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Washington and Lee men's golf team finished with a 305 to place third out of 18 teams in the second day of the Tom Kinder Memorial hosted by Bridgewater College at the Lakeview Golf Club on Monday.
Milligan carded a two-day score of 289-290—579 (+3) to take the team title, followed by Bridgewater (293-290—583) and W&L (285-305—590). Christopher Newport (306-298—604) and Stevenson (303-301—604) tied for fourth to round out the Top 5.
Individually, Virginia Intermont's Trevor Banks was the medalist after shooting a -10 score of 65-69—134.
The Generals were led by first-year Teddy Corcoran (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton), who finished with a 69-77—146 (+2) to tie for 10th-place out of 90 competitors.
Sophomore Patrick Clossin (Ooltewah, Tenn./McCallie School) finished with a 74-75—149 to place in a tie for 20th, and junior Jake Struebing (Amherst, N.Y./Amherst Central) went 80-81—161 to tie for 62nd.
Washington and Lee will return to action on Monday as it participates in the William & Mary Joe Agee Invitational held at The Williamsburg Club.
