FOREST, Va. – The Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its 2012 all-conference golf team on Tuesday as play was wrapping up at the conference championship event.
Washington and Lee had two players honored as senior Wilson Anthony (Fordyce, Ark./Episcopal) was tabbed to the second team and first-year Patrick Clossin (Ooltewah, Tenn./McCallie School) was a third team selection.
Anthony tied for 11th at the 2012 ODAC Championship after posting a score of 75-78—153. He played a total of 20 rounds during the year, posting a 77.8 scoring average.
Anthony was an honorable mention selection following the 2011 season when he posted a 77.6 average. He finishes his career with a 78.1 average over 71 rounds played.
Clossin also tied for 11th at the conference championship event. He played 18 rounds during the 2011-12 school year and tied with Anthony for the best scoring average on the team (77.8).
Guilford junior Noah Ratner was named the ODAC Player of the Year, while the Quakers' Corey Maggard nabbed the Jack Jensen Coach of the Year Award. Randolph-Macon's Kyle Fuller was named the league's Rookie of the Year and Roanoke's Adam Skaff received the ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award. Roanoke's Brandon Ketron was named the Ted Keller Sportsmanship Award Winner.
Washington and Lee finished in third place at the ODAC Championship under the direction of first-year Head Coach Pete Gyscek.
