High School: Earned four letters in golf and three in basketball at Shady Spring High School … helped lead the golf team to a pair of conference titles and a regional championship as a senior … twice earned all-conference honors in golf … was the regional runner-up as a sophomore and the regional champion his final two seasons … two-time all-state selection and a two-time West Virginia Golf Association Amateur Qualifier … finished eighth at the state tournament as a junior and third as a senior … two-time all-conference honoree in basketball and an honorable mention all-state pick as a senior … named the Shady Spring Athlete of the Year as a senior … was the class salutatorian and senior class president.

Off the Course: Brother, Tyler, was a four-year member of the track & field team at Brown … politics major.
