In the second period W&L continued its hot shooting, connecting on 62.5 percent (15-24) of its attempts as the Blue and White stretched out their lead to as many as 23 points with 12:46 to play.

Ey (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) had 10 points and six rebounds and sophomore forward Larry Whitaker (Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett) chipped in 10 points and five boards.
