Kylie Cale is in her first season as an assistant coach with the W&L field hockey program. Cale comes to Lexington from Oxon Hill, Md., where she worked for the Gaylord National Resort and Covention Center since August of 2012. She began as a seasonal assistant manager of special events and was promoted to recruiting coordinator and most recently to a recruiter.
Cale was a four-year member of the field hockey team at Christopher Newport University, graduating in 2011 with a bachelor of arts in English. On the field, she was a four-time letterwinner and the team's leader in assists as a sophomore and senior. As a midfielder, she received First Team All-State honors in 2008 and she was a Second Team All-Region selection in 2009. Her 12 assists as a sophomore are the second-most in CNU history.
Cale later served as an assistant coach at CNU for the 2011 season while earning a master of arts in teaching in 2012. Her field hockey experiences also include working camps and serving as a USA Futures Field Hockey Coach.
