Vince Munch is in his fifth season as an assistant football coach at Washington and Lee, serving as the defensive line coach.
Munch's first four seasons have resulted in a number of records and two ODAC titles. As an offensive assistant, he helped the 2012 team post an 8-3 overall record and they claimed the Old Dominion Athletic Conference title. W&L led Division III with an average of 363.7 rushing yards per game and finished fourth nationally in third down conversion percentage, converting 52.8 percent of the time. The Generals also averaged 431.3 total yards and 35.3 points per contest.
Munch joined the Generals staff after one season as the tight ends coach at Marietta College, helping the Pioneers average better than 250 passing yards per game in posting a 3-7 record in the rugged Ohio Athletic Conference during the 2011 campaign.
A 2011 graduate of Ferrum College with a bachelor of science in physical education with a minor in exercise science, Munch was a four-year letterwinner at tight end, earning First Team All-USA South, Second Team All-State and Second Team All-South Region honors. A team captain as a senior, he caught 14 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns during his career.
