Hollenbeck Earns Preseason All-America Honor

LEXINGTON, Va. — The Lindy's College Football Preview magazine hit newsstands recently, and Washington and Lee rising senior Connor Hollenbeck (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) was chosen to Lindy's Second Team Preseason All-America squad.

Hollenbeck started all 11 games at right tackle for the Generals last season. He was part of an offensive line that cleared the way for two 1,000-yard backs as the Blue and White led Division III with an average of 363.7 rushing yards per game. W&L averaged 431.3 total yards and 35.3 points per game, while ranking fourth in Division III in third down conversion percentage (52.8%).

Washington and Lee finished 8-3 last season and 6-1 in the ODAC, claiming its second conference title in three years. The Generals qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs, but lost in the first round to Hobart, 38-20.

W&L opens the 2013 season at home against Franklin and Marshall on Saturday, September 7, at 1:00 pm.
