2009: Played in nearly every game as a reserve running back and placekicker ... rushed eight times for 43 yards (5.4 per carry) ... also posted four tackles and handled the kickoffs for much of the season ... averaged 54.7 yards on 25 kickoffs.
High School: Lettered in football, lacrosse and basketball at The Covenant School … in football, earned first team all-conference honors each of his four seasons … was named the conference offensive player of the year as a sophomore and senior and was a three-time first team All-Central Virginia and three-time all-state selection as a running back … earned second team all-state laurels as a linebacker as a first-year and sophomore … rushed for 4,736 yards and 70 touchdowns during his high school career … four-time first team all-conference pick in lacrosse, helping lead the team to a trio of state championships … tallied 142 goals and 104 assists over his four seasons.
Personal: Grandfather, Lee McLaughlin, coached the W&L football team from 1957-67 and is a member of the W&L Athletic Hall of Fame … sister, Angie Carrington Murphy ’94, is also a member of the W&L Athletic Hall of Fame after a stellar career with the lacrosse and soccer teams … father, Eric Heinsohn ’83, also attended W&L … plays on the Generals' lacrosse team as a midfielder ... has notched five goals and eight assists over his first two seasons ... business administration major.
