W&L Football Slated to Travel to Thomas More in NCAA's

LEXINGTON, Va. – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced its 2010 Division III Football tournament field on Sunday afternoon.

Washington and Lee (8-2), which earned an automatic bid as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Champion, received a No. 6 seed and will travel to third-seeded Thomas More (10-0), recipient of an automatic bid from the Presidents Athletic Conference.

The Generals and Saints will meet on Sat., Nov. 20 at 12:00 noon at the Bank of Kentucky Field in Crestview Hills, Ky.  The winner of that game will take on the winner of a game between second-seeded Mary Hardin-Baylor (10-0) and seventh-seeded Christopher Newport (6-4) on Sat., Nov. 27 at the highest remaining seed.

Washington and Lee finished with a perfect 6-0 conference record and enters the NCAA Tournament on a seven-game winning steak.  The Generals rank among the national leaders in rushing offense (370.2 ypg), total offense (450.4 ypg) and scoring (37.4 ppg).
