LEXINGTON, Va. — The Washington and Lee baseball team's ODAC contest at Bridgewater scheduled for Tuesday has been pushed to Thursday at 4:00 pm. The game was moved due to the snow the area received over the weekend.
The Generals are currently 12-9 overall and 6-3 in the ODAC, which has the Blue and White in third in the conference standings. Sophomore outfielder Drew Weprinsky (Atlanta, Ga./Westminster) leads the team with a .424 batting average (28-of-66) and is third in the conference. Both senior Ian Shaw (Atlanta, Ga./Riverwood) and junior Nate Plein (El Cajon, Calif./St. Augustine) have 4-1 records. Shaw has a 3.29 ERA and Plein is at 2.92.
The Eagles enter the week as the top team in the league with a 13-5 overall record and are a perfect 7-0 in ODAC play. Senior third baseman Andrew Hacker leads the squad and the conference with a .453 batting average (34-of-75). First-year Justin Petock is 3-1 with a 2.41 ERA to lead the pitching staff.
