SALEM, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its all-conference women's basketball team at the conference tournament banquet held on Wednesday evening at the Salem Civic Center and Washington and Lee junior forward Kristen Krouchick (Holland, Pa./Nazareth Academy) garnered honorable-mention honors.
Krouchick topped the Generals in scoring (11.1 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 rpg) during the 2007-08 season. She tallied 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game, while also hitting a team-best 23 three-pointers. Krouchick scored in double-figures in 16 contests and racked up double-digits rebounds in three games.
A 2007 Second Team All-ODAC selection, Krouchick owns 1,319 points, 575 rebounds, 209 assists and 169 steals in her career. Her points rank third all-time at W&L, while her steals come in at fourth and her rebounds and assists are both the six-best total in school history.
Randolph-Macon's sophomore center Molly Ariail was named the 2008 ODAC Player of the Year, while Virginia Wesleyan's Stephany Dunmyer was tabbed the league’s top coach. Bridgewater freshman forward Jordan Burkholder was selected the Rookie of the Year and Randolph-Macon guard Amanda Hiltunen was tabbed the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Randolph College was awarded the sport’s team sportsmanship honor.
The seventh-seeded Generals compete in the 2008 ODAC Women's Basketball Tournament on Thursday when they take on second-seeded Randolph-Macon at 6:00 pm at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va.
