LEXINGTON, Va. -- Following its' strong performance in the Jekyll Island Invitational over the weekend, Washington and Lee's golf team has moved up in several GolfStat ranking categories.

W&L ranks 13th overall in head-to-head competition, posting a 203-14 mark against Division III teams. Additionally, the Generals rank second in Division III in par three scoring average (3.29).

Individually, sophomore Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller) is highly-ranked in several categories. James is second in subpar strokes per round (3.50) and overall short game (.620), fourth in par three scoring (3.14), sixth in puts in greens in regulation (1.856) and ninth in fairways hit (.652). James finished in a tie for 11th at the Jekyll Island event with a 67-72-79--218 and he currently leads the team with a 72.9 stroke average.

The Generals, who are also receiving votes for the GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Top 25 Poll, return to action on April 9-10 at the Emory Spring Invitational held at the Smoke Rise Golf & Country Club in Stone Mountain, Ga.
