ALL-STATE MEN'S SOCCER TEAM ANNOUNCED
LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee junior defender and team
tri-captain Peter Miller (Towson, Md./Baltimore Lutheran) earned a
spot on the First Team Virginia Sports Information Directors
Association (VaSID) College Division Men's Soccer Team, which was
announced Wednesday afternoon.
Miller, a First Team All-ODAC and Second Team CoSIDA Academic
All-District selection, earned the honor after playing in all 17
games with 16 starts. Miller captained the Generals' defense which
allowed an average of just 1.43 goals per game. Additionally, he
added two goals and one assist.
Washington and Lee finished the 2003 season with a 7-6-4 overall
record and a 3-4-2 mark in the ODAC. The Generals advanced to the
ODAC Championship game before falling to Virginia Wesleyan,
3-1.
