LEXINGTON, Va. -- Three members of the Washington and Lee men's soccer team were honored as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its' all-conference team on Wednesday afternoon.

Junior defender Peter Miller (Towson, Md./Baltimore Lutheran) was named to the first team, while junior midfielder Brian Pirkle (Lexington, Va./Woodberry Forest) was tabbed to the second team. Freshman defender Scot Pittman (Waxhaw, N.C./Charlotte Country Day) was placed on the honorable mention squad.

Miller earned his first selection to the All-ODAC team after playing in all 17 games with 16 starts. Miller captained the Generals' defense which allowed an average of just 1.43 goals per game. Additionally, he added two goals and one assist.

Pirkle also earned his initial all-conference nod after leading the team in scoring with 18 points on eight goals and two assists. He started all 17 games, producing two game-winning goals.

Pittman was named to the honorable mention team after starting 16 games. Like Miller, he was responsible for the W&L defense allowing just 1.43 goals per outing.

Washington and Lee finished the 2003 season with a 7-6-4 overall record and a 3-4-2 mark in the ODAC. The Generals advanced to the ODAC Championship game before falling to Virginia Wesleyan, 3-1.
