SARAH JANOWITZ EARNS ALL-AMERICA ACCOLADES

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior defender Sarah Janowitz (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) was named to both the Warrior/Inside Lacrosse and Brine/US Lacrosse All-America teams which were announced on Monday.

Janowitz was a First Team Warrior/Inside Lacrosse All-American and a Second Team Brine/US Lacrosse All-American.

Janowitz, the 2003 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Year and a First Team All-South Region honoree, was named to the All-America teams after scooping up a team-best 70 ground balls this season. She also caused 14 turnovers and helped hold the Generals' opposition to an average of 6.83 goals per game.

Washington and Lee went 15-3 overall this year and captured the ODAC championship this season. The 10th-ranked Generals fell, 12-7, to Mary Washington in the NCAA Tournament.
