W&L NAMES HOLLY MARIE ROSE ASSOCIATE ATHLETIC TRAINER

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Mike Walsh has announced the hiring of Holly Marie Rose as associate athletic trainer at the University. Rose spent the 1998-99 school year as a graduate assistant trainer with the Generals.

Rose graduated from Indiana University in May 1998 with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology and earned her master's degree in athletic training from the University of Virginia in June of 1999.

Rose served as a student assistant trainer at Indiana University for three years, working primarily with the IU wrestling team before serving her graduate assistantship with W&L. In that capacity, Rose was responsible for injury care, prevention, and treatment for numerous sports programs, including women's soccer, wrestling, and women's lacrosse.

Rose has been certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and the American Red Cross, and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association.
