W&L'S BATCHELLER AND HOLTON EARN ALL-AMERICA HONORS

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior quarterback Christian Batcheller (Stuart, Va./Patrick County) and junior offensive lineman Justin Holton (Pittsburg, Texas/Pittsburg) were both named to the USAFootball.com Honorable Mention All-America team.

Emory & Henry defensive back PeeDee Peterson was the ODAC's lone player to be named to the website's First Team All-America squad.

In addition to the latest honor, Batcheller was named First Team All-ODAC and First Team All-State by the Roanoke Times for the second straight season. He also garnered First Team VaSID All-State honors this season. Batcheller completed 178-of-313 attempts for 2,273 yards and 15 touchdowns during the 1999 season.

Holton anchored a W&L offensive line that paved the way for a school-record 384.7 yards of total offense per game and allowed just 12 sacks in 327 passing attempts. He is a 1999 First Team All-ODAC, First Team VaSID All-State, First Team Roanoke Times All-State, and Third Team All-South Region selection.
