W&L TRACK & FIELD TEAMS NAMED TO ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 2004 Washington and Lee men's and women's track and field teams were named to the United States Track Coaches Association (USTCA) Division III All-Academic Team. A team must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.10 to qualify for the all-academic team.

The men's team ranked 14th in the nation with a 3.185 GPA. Carnegie Mellon University took the top spot with a 3.46 GPA.

The women's team ranked 18th in the nation with a 3.275 GPA. Whitworth College garnered the top spot with a 3.709 GPA.
