Chaney Forbush is in her second year as a full-time sports information assistant at Washington and Lee University.
In her first year, Forbush handled the publicity efforts for five ODAC Championship teams, including the women's lacrosse team which advanced to the NCAA Division III semifinals for the first time in program history.
Forbush is a 2016 graduate of Lynchburg College where she earned a bachelor of arts in communications studies with a minor in sport management. While at Lynchburg, she served as an intern and student assistant in the sports information office, and was a staff writer for the school’s newspaper, The Critograph.
Forbush was also a varsity athlete for the Hornets, earning four letters as a member of the women’s basketball team. A team captain as a senior, she was a three-time All-ODAC honoree, earning first team laurels in 2016. She finished her career ranked third all-time at LC in blocked shots (139) and field goal percentage (.495), fourth in rebounding (863) and fifth in points (1,275).
