Danielle Davis is entering her first year as assistant athletic trainer.
Davis served as a full-time outreach athletic trainer for the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke since August of 2013. In this role, she was the head athletic trainer for William Byrd High School.
Prior to her time with Carilion and William Byrd, Davis was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the University of Alabama from 2011-13, earning a master of arts in health studies.
While at Alabama, she worked with the volleyball team, while also providing additional coverage for softball, baseball, swimming, women’s rowing and women’s basketball.
Davis’ experiences also include providing per diem athletic training coverage at VMI over the 2013-14 school year, serving as an intern athletic trainer at Villanova University during the 2010-11 school year and providing coverage as an athletic training student assistant at West Chester University from 2008-10.
Davis graduated from West Chester in 2010 with a bachelor of science in athletic training. She is a NATA Board Certified Athletic Trainer with a license to practice in Virginia. She is also certified in CPR, AED and First Aid from the American Heart Association.
